“We’re NEVER going to use these vessels!”
On Lasse Kristoffersen’s last day as President and CEO of Torvald Klaveness and final weeks as Chairman of KCC, CEO Engebret Dahm took the opportunity to pull him into the Studio for trip down memory lane and discussion on KCC’s past, present, and future.
Having in been in combination carriers since the 1950’s, Dahm quizzes Kristoffersen on what triggered the re-invigoration of the KCC strategy back in 2012 and for Klaveness to invest heavily in combination carriers.

Kristofferen’s final words of wisdom to KCC
Lasse Kristoffersen started in Torvald Klaveness in 2007 heading up the business unit Klaveness Maritime Logistics. In September 2011 he was appointed new Chief Executive Officer for Torvald Klaveness and became the first company CEO from outside the Klaveness family.
Prior to joining Torvald Klaveness, Kristoffersen worked 11 years for Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in various positions including 2 years in New York starting up Maritime Solutions Americas for DNV. In 2006, he became Director of Operation DNV Industry Norge.
Kristoffersen stepped down as Klaveness President and CEO on 1st April 2022.
